ANNA JAYMES

WELCOME ANNA JAYMES!

Anna Jaymes was born on Monday, October 15th at 4:19pm at Bayfront Hospital. She weighed 7lbs 14ozs and was 20 1/8 inches long.

WHY THE NAME ANNA JAYMES?

We chose her name from a few different places. First, we love the story about the prophetess, Anna in the book of Luke...

The prophet Anna was also there in the temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher, and she was very old. In her youth she had been married for seven years, but her husband died. And now she was eighty-four years old. Night and day she served God in the temple by praying and often going without eating. At that time Anna came in and praised God. She spoke about the child Jesus to everyone who hoped for Jerusalem to be set free.

There are so many things we love about the life of the lady, she was faithful to her husband, she continued to serve the Lord after his death, she was in the temple night and day praying and fasting, and she recognized Jesus during a time when many others didn't and spoke about Jesus and salvation to everyone. It has been our prayer that our Anna will be like this Anna and will recognize Jesus in a time when many others don't and will proclaim his name and salvation to those around her.

Second, both of our moms have the middle name Ann and we wanted her to have a family name. We chose the middle name as Jaymes mainly because it is a family name also...the first name of me, my dad, and my grandad, but we wanted to make it femine by spelling it differently.
Finally, after Crystal got pregnant, all she could think of was God's grace and mercy that He would allow her to bear a child. After praying for a name and wanting to relate it to God's mercy and grace, she looked up the meaning of "Anna" and found it to mean "full of grace and mercy." Needless to say, this was much confirmation that Anna was to be the name.
